Hi, thanks for visiting my Portfolio. You have clicked on the about page to know more about this
website. This is basically a portfolio website to showcase my talent, skills and experience.
It's one of the most practical ways to share your work with press, potential collaborators or
employers. Just like a resume or CV, a portfolio website is a digital version of your resume
which is more detailed and verstile and it can be used for applying for jobs or internships.
Technical details about this page:
This website is built using HTML, CSS, Javascript and some bootstrap
frameworks. This
website is not finished right now and I'll be updating it every weekend, adding more sections,
pages and projects. And changing the overall structure and color scheme.
Something about the developer:
I consider myself as a web developer. Though I am not a fullstack developer
right now but I am heading that way.
The most important thing that you should know about me as an employer or client before hiring me
is that I
don't have any technical work experience in this department. I am a fresher but I do have lots
of practical knowledge
and skills and also come from the same technical background. This website is enough of a proof
of my skillset.
Developer background:
I have worked quite a few years as a
non-tech employee in 2 multinational companies namely Innodata Isogen and Amazon. As you already
know I dont have
technical work experienen but very recently I have decided to switch my career from non-tech to
tech
department, particularly because I love programming and coding which is one of the reason why I
presued
B.Tech in Computer Science but due to some medical circumstances during COVID-19 pandemic(2020,
the year I graduated) and my negligence I ended up
in a non-tech career. However I think its still not too late to try again and do what I always
wanted. I have spend the last 6 months learning web development while working at Amazon. I have
learned more than enough during this time to create this website on my own. Though there's still
a lot to learn as new
web technologies emerege everyday which is why I learn something new everyday.
Reason for switching career:
I have already mentioned one of the main reason for switching my career in the
above section but
here's something to add more. After working for few years in non-tech department I realized
that there's not enough growth opportunity, skill development and incentives. This is coming
particularly from my field of work at Amazon as a Content Reviewer.
I am sure there are many jobs in non-tech field with lot of growth opportunies and incentives.
But
not everyone gets them. As someone who loves
technology and programming I felt like missing out on many opportunies to grow and learn. With
new
interesting AI technologies emerging everyday my excitement for tech job grew even more and
hence I decided to switch my career.
Expectation from this website:
Although I created this website as a web developemnt project I am expecting
some visitors and
contacts from this website. I am hoping to get some job offers, contracts or freelancing. I'll
use this website as my technical development diary and the blog as personal developmenp diary.
This will be my permanent web address.
